Wild Again (right), who was supplemented to the Breeders' Cup for a fee of $360,000, upset Slew o' Gold and Gate Hero in a roughly run first edition of the Breeders' Cup Classic. Wild Again (outside) was disqualified from 2nd and placed third for interferring with Slew o' Gold (center).
